Frequently Asked Questions

A few things you maybe wondering.

Everything you need to know about Mrs. Case, from displaying your gown to delivery and care.

About Mrs Case

Mrs Case is a luxury wedding dress display case designed to protect and showcase your gown in your home. Each case creates a protective environment that helps shield your wedding dress from dust, ultraviolet light, humidity, and other environmental factors while allowing you to enjoy it as part of your everyday surroundings.

More than storage, Mrs Case transforms your wedding gown into a meaningful piece of art and a lasting reminder of your wedding day.

Not at all. Mrs Case can be meaningful whether you were married recently or many years ago.

Many couples have carefully stored their wedding gowns for years and eventually choose to bring them back into their homes. Mrs Case gives a gown that has been tucked away the opportunity to be seen, enjoyed, and remembered.

Because your wedding dress represents more than a single day, it deserves a place in your story for years to come.

No. Mrs Case was created to display and protect meaningful garments of all kinds.

In addition to wedding gowns, Mrs Case can be used for cultural garments, vintage pieces, pageant gowns, military uniforms, first responder uniforms, and other heirloom clothing that deserves a lasting place within your home.

Both the Mrs Case Signature and Gallery can beautifully display wedding dresses with or without straps, and both accommodate a range of gown silhouettes. The primary difference is the amount of volume each case is designed to accommodate.

Mrs Case Gallery is best suited for fitted gowns through full A-line silhouettes. Due to its more refined, wall-mounted presentation, we do not recommend the Gallery for traditional ballgowns with significant skirt volume.

Mrs Case Signature accommodates a broader range of silhouettes, from fitted gowns and sheath styles through full A-line and ballgown silhouettes.

For ballgowns, an additional preparation step is required before installation. Any removable underskirt or petticoat should be removed, and the remaining layers of crinoline can be gently gathered and secured with a white satin ribbon to create a beautiful, streamlined presentation within the case.

Gowns with an extended cathedral-length train can also be displayed, although the train will need to be gently folded or rolled within the lower portion of the case. Because train length and gown construction vary, we recommend using your best judgment based on the individual gown.

If you have questions about whether your specific gown will work in a Mrs Case, please contact us. We are happy to help you determine which case will provide the best presentation for your gown.

Both the Mrs Case Signature and Gallery are designed to beautifully display your wedding dress, with different options for how your gown is presented.

Mrs Case Signature: Your gown can be displayed on the hanger of your choice, or you can add the optional Signature Dress Form, which was specifically designed for the Signature case. The dress form hangs from the top of the case and gives your gown the appearance of being worn. It is available in small, medium, and large sizes.

Mrs Case Gallery: The Gallery features a built-in custom hanger designed specifically for its slimmer profile. It also includes a customizable, acid-free cardboard bust form that adds shape and dimension to your gown.

The Signature Dress Form is designed exclusively for the Signature and is not compatible with the Gallery.

Protection & Preservation

Mrs Case is designed to help reduce your gown’s exposure to environmental factors that can contribute to damage over time, including dust, ultraviolet light, and fluctuations in humidity.

Each case includes UV-rated acrylic, humidity control, and a dust-resistant seal. For additional protection, we recommend displaying your case away from direct, prolonged sunlight, just as you would with any fine textile or heirloom.

Yes. We strongly recommend having your wedding gown professionally cleaned by a specialist in wedding gown care before displaying it in a Mrs Case.

Even when a gown appears clean, invisible stains from perspiration, makeup, food, or other substances may remain in the fabric and can become more noticeable over time. Professional cleaning before display is an important part of caring for your gown long term.

If you need help finding a wedding gown cleaning or preservation specialist, please contact us for recommendations.

No. Mrs Case and traditional wedding gown preservation serve different purposes.

Traditional wedding dress preservation generally involves professional cleaning followed by specialized archival packaging and storage, often in an archival box. Mrs Case offers a different approach: a protective display environment that allows you to enjoy your gown in your home while helping reduce its exposure to dust, ultraviolet light, and humidity.

Mrs Case is designed for display, protection, and enjoyment rather than traditional archival storage.

Absolutely. If your wedding dress has already been professionally cleaned and preserved, you have already taken an important step toward caring for your gown long term.

You can simply remove your gown from its preservation box and prepare it for display in your Mrs Case. There is no need to have your dress professionally cleaned again simply because you are choosing to display it.

If your gown has been preserved using a method that may affect how it should be handled or displayed, we recommend consulting your gown preservation specialist before removing it from its preservation packaging.

We recommend displaying your Mrs Case away from direct, prolonged sunlight.

Although the case includes UV-rated acrylic designed to help reduce exposure to ultraviolet light, no display environment can completely eliminate the effects of prolonged sunlight on delicate textiles. Choosing an interior location away from direct sunlight provides an additional layer of protection for your gown.

Displaying & Caring for Your Case

Installing your gown is designed to be simple. Step-by-step installation videos are available for both the Signature and Gallery to guide you through the process.

Yes. The Mrs Case Gallery is designed to offer the option of wall-mounted display.

Because homes and wall structures vary, wall-mounting hardware is not included with the Gallery. Customers are responsible for selecting and obtaining the appropriate hardware for their specific wall type and installation location.

The Gallery should always be securely mounted according to the provided installation instructions, with consideration given to the weight of the fully assembled case and gown. If you are unsure which hardware is appropriate for your wall, we recommend consulting a qualified professional for guidance.

For routine cleaning, gently wipe the case with a soft microfiber cloth.

When cleaning the acrylic, use only products specifically recommended for acrylic surfaces. Avoid abrasive materials, harsh chemicals, ammonia-based cleaners, or anything that could scratch or damage the acrylic.
