Our Story
It started with one dressworth keeping close.
Mrs. Case began with a dress on a hanger in the closet — too meaningful to seal in a box and not see again for years.
She wanted those memories kept present, and she told her husband. What he did with that wish became a way for other couples to keep a story close.
Where It Began
A gift that became something more.
After the wedding, the dress hung on a hanger in the closet. She did not want it sealed in a traditional preservation box, where she would not see it again for years. She wanted to do something special with it — to keep the memories present — and she had no idea what that should be, or how to begin. She told her husband.
The spring after they were married, they were expecting their first child and needed a larger home. He told her she could have full design control of the house. He wanted only one thing, and that one thing would be a surprise.
The day they moved, he took her by the hand to their bedroom. He had built a case for her dress, and it was on display. It was the most thoughtful, beautiful, and unexpected gift she had ever received.
Having the dress on display has continued to bring them both joy through the years of their marriage. They wanted to share that joy with others. Through building, testing, and refining what began in their bedroom, that personal act of love became Mrs. Case.
